Technical Consulting Services

Technical consulting services offered by Apollo International provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on the viability and strategic improvement of their healthcare projects of any size. Our team of consultants conducts a feasibility study to identify areas of improvement and offers strategic objectives to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.

Feasibility Report

A feasibility Report provides the required direction and assessment of the most feasible healthcare formats to pursue in the region. The outcome would be a comprehensive INFALLIBLE BUSINESS PLAN and a Strategic Vision Document, including clinical vision and med-tech guidance.

Strategic Objectives

Key objectives addressed in a feasibility study include demand mapping, supply mapping, demand-supply gap analysis, purchasing power, and basis of these inputs, development of the right strategic sweet spot for the proposed project, with guidance on the most optimum product/ service mix, most optimum technology (including med-tech and IT) mix, infrastructure guidance, human capital strategies, targeting, pricing, positioning of the services along with a marketing strategy plan.

Based on a quantitative study of the above factors and KOL interview analysis, Apollo International develops a ten-year forward going business plan for the organisation. The plan is then plotted against the project cost and the cost of capital, which results in the return analysis for the proposed project

Project Management & Monitoring

Apollo International works with clients in the following areas as a part of our Phase 2 offerings:

Facility Planning & Design Review Services

Apollo International’s specialist team works closely with the client to ensure successful project implementation.

Comprehensive Plan

The project begins with a comprehensive plan for the necessary departmental facilities. Considering the client's clinical vision, Apollo International's team of architects collaborates with local architecture companies to create concept plans and schematic drawings to optimise patient flow and safety protocols.

Contractor Selection and Project Kickoff

The client must appoint contractors and services to begin the project and cover all funding officially. Apollo International can guide by sorting through the potential list to find the best contractor for the job. Once the contractors are chosen, and the project is underway, the client is expected to handle all construction and regulatory clearances.

Design Schematics

Apollo International will provide the client with the following deliverables: a functional brief, facility plan, architectural brief, typical room data sheets for potential room stacking options, and schematic drawings. We strive to ensure a successful project with a safe and comfortable design for patients.

Medical Equipment Planning Services

Apollo International helps its clients select the right medical equipment and vendors for the proposed hospital or healthcare project.

BOQ

Planning and building a department-wise list of medical equipment (BOQ) is the first step in identifying the right equipment for a project. Apollo International provides comprehensive specifications for each piece of equipment.

Procurement

Procurement is the next step. Apollo International assists clients with developing bid/request for bids (RFB) documents, providing expert evaluations for significant items, and rating vendors based on equipment features, local support, warranty, upgradeability, and more. We also help to negotiate with vendors and confirm servicing and maintenance schedules for all major equipment.

Installation and Commissioning

Apollo International provides installation and commissioning support. The process of installation and commission includes preparation and readiness of the site, equipment calibration, dummy case handling, commissioning, and delivering training and application support to the in-house biomedical engineering department.

Technical Assessment of Medical Infrastructure

Apollo International guides its clients through the technical evaluation of proposed equipment purchases, including developing specifications, validating speciality components, commercial assessment, life cycle cost analysis, user feedback, interoperability testing, cost/benefit analysis, and sustainability considerations.

Project Commissioning & Start-up

As part of the project commissioning, Apollo International provides guidance and supervision to the start-up of various departments within the hospital. Major workstreams covered during the commissioning and start-up assistance of the hospital are:

Medical Equipment

Medical equipment implementation includes landing, post-landing, pre-installation, Installation reviews, post installation maintenance plan, user training, dry runs, and integration with hospital IT infrastructure.

Supply Chain

Designing supply chain processes and protocols customised to the organisation's requirements that enable the best procurement, warehousing, and distribution practices.

IT

Apollo International works with the client in the IT integration of the facility, developing and uploading all masters, conducting dry runs, and ensuring all modules communicate with each other, thereby creating a robust IT backbone to support the facility's operations.

Clinical and Operational SOPs

Apollo's proprietary SOPs are customised to the requirements at three levels: to ensure compliance with the country's regulatory and legal requirements, to comply with the organisation's and the founders' expectations, and to adhere to the facility's infrastructure. Apollo International can customise the process document to the requirements of all major accreditation bodies, including JCI, CAP, AC, COHSASA, NABH, NABL, ISO, etc.

Manpower

Apollo International has implemented a robust manpower strategy to aid partner hospitals. Their approach involves thorough planning for the first year of operations, effective strategic sourcing, efficient onboarding processes, comprehensive training programs, and ensuring readiness for the newly recruited staff. This approach not only helps in the smooth functioning of the hospital but also ensures that the workforce is well-equipped to meet the needs and demands of the new setting. We set a high standard for manpower management, making it a valuable partner for other hospitals looking to expand their operations overseas.

Financial Planning

Financial Planning for the first operational year, with the organisation's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, aligns with the larger vision and business plan developed earlier. Apollo International also works with developing reporting and control mechanisms for the organisation.

Apollo International helps in preparing a complete preopening plan and also assists in ensuring the hospital's operational readiness.

Brand License, Operations & Management

Apollo International is dedicated to providing its essential medical and managerial staff with the highest-quality skills.

Commitment

Apollo International strives to reach and uphold accreditation and international standards for clinical services and outcomes; furthermore, it is focused on giving the proposed hospital a lasting advantage in quality, customer service, and competitiveness.

Governance

To guide the facility's operations, a Joint Steering Committee (JSC) is constituted, with membership from the client and Apollo's senior leadership chaired by the client representatives. This body reports to the board of directors and has reports from the organisation's CEO/COO, thereby ensuring good corporate governance controls. As part of the organisation's Operations & Management (O&M), Apollo International shall also appoint Key Management Personnel to lead the key functions for the organisation's day-to-day management. The Key Management Personnel reports to this committee (through the CEO/COO), and the committee, in turn, reports to the Board of Directors.

Brand License

After discussion with the client, Apollo International can grant licenses for their brand name to the hospitals under our management. We collaborate with clients to develop the identity, logo, and guidelines to establish the brand. Through the usage of Apollo's brand, the client can benefit from the trust and brand equity earned over the past 4 decades.
